Zuni Thunderbirds (Zuni, NM) boosters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Navajo Pine Warriors (Navajo, NM), 3-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Zuni improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Thunderbirds host Magdalena (Magdalena, NM) to face the Steers in a non-league test on Friday, August 29. The Steers go into the test with a record of 1-0. Magdalena won 3-0 in their recent non-league challenge against To'hajiilee (To'hajiilee, NM)
Next, the Warriors meet the Mesilla Valley Christian School SonBlazers (Las Cruces, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, August 29. Navajo Pine will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The SonBlazers come into the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Melrose (Melrose, NM).
