Topsail Pirates (Hampstead, NC) fans were thrilled Saturday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host A.L. Brown Wonders (Kannapolis, NC), 4-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Pirates confront the Dixon Bulldogs (Holly Ridge, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, August 30. Topsail will attempt to better on its 2-1 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 2-0 record after their 3-3 non-league Northside - Jacksonville (Jacksonville, NC).
The Wonders now have a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host South Rowan for a non-league challenge on Monday, August 29. A.L. Brown will confront a Raiders team coming off a 7-3 non-league loss to Robinson (Concord, NC). The Raiders record now stands at 2-2.
