Grant Community Bulldogs (Fox Lake, IL) fans were thrilled Saturday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Kaneland Knights (Maple Park, IL), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Bulldogs face the Hampshire Whip-Purs (Hampshire, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, August 27. Grant Community will attempt to better on its 4-0 season record. The Whip-Purs enter the challenge with a 1-2 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Jefferson (Rockford, IL).

The Knights now have a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Harlem for a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 27. Kaneland will face a Huskies team coming off a 1-1 non-league Winnebago (Winnebago, IL). The Huskies record now stands at 1-0.
