St. Paul Wildcats (St. Paul, NE) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Alliance Bulldogs (Alliance, NE), 9-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wilber-Clatonia for a non-league challenge on Monday, August 29. St. Paul will battle a Wolverines squad coming off a 15-5 non-league loss to Holdrege-Adams Central (Holdrege, NE). The Wolverines record now stands at 2-6.

With the loss, Alliance falls to 3-6 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Gering (Gering, NE) to battle the Bulldogs in a B District 10 challenge on Tuesday, August 30. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 3-4. Gering lost 19-1 in their recent league challenge against Scottsbluff (Scottsbluff, NE)
