Smoky Hill Buffaloes (Aurora, CO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Coronado Cougars (Colorado Springs, CO), 16-10 in a non-league challenge.
The Buffaloes now own a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rampart for a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 27. Smoky Hill will battle a Rams squad coming off a 6-0 non-league loss to Pueblo South (Pueblo, CO). The Rams record now stands at 3-5.
With the loss, Coronado falls to 0-8 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Pueblo Central (Pueblo, CO) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 27. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 2-2. Pueblo Central lost 11-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Vista Ridge (Colorado Springs, CO)
