Elkhorn South Storm (Omaha, NE) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host North Platte Bulldogs (North Platte, NE), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Storm now sport a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Gretna for a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 27. Elkhorn South will face a Dragons squad coming off a 6-0 league win over Millard South (Omaha, NE). The Dragons record now stands at 7-0.

With the loss, North Platte falls to 6-6 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Columbus (Columbus, NE) to face the Discoverers in a A District challenge on Saturday, August 27. The Discoverers enter the challenge with a record of 2-3. Columbus lost 6-5 in their recent league challenge against Omaha Westside (Omaha, NE)
