The Akins Eagles volleyball team (Austin, TX), was dropped 2-0 in Saturday's non-league challenge with the host Katy Taylor Mustangs (Katy, TX)

The Mustangs (13-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Seven Lakes (Katy, TX). The Spartans enter the 6A Region III District 19 challenge with a 15-9 record. In their last challenge, Seven Lakes defeated Vandegrift (Austin, TX), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Eagles meet the Lehman Lobos (Kyle, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, August 27. Akins will attempt to move on its 5-13 season record. The Lobos enter the challenge with a 6-12 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Del Valle (Del Valle, TX).
