Texas High School Volleyball - Mount Vernon tips Avery

The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Mount Vernon Tigers (Mount Vernon, TX) and the visiting Avery Bulldogs (Avery, TX), saw Mount Vernon's volleyball squad nip Avery by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Mount Vernon upgrades its record to 12-1 on the year. The Tigers host Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, TX) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Saturday, August 27. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 3-10. Mt. Pleasant lost 3-2 in their recent non-league bout against Hooks (Hooks, TX)

The Bulldogs now own a 11-2 record. They play next when they host Hughes Springs for a non-league bout on Tuesday, August 30.
