The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 13-2. Midland Christian won 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Talkington School for Young Women Leaders (Lubbock, TX)

The Steers now own a 3-5 record. They play next when they travel to Levelland for a 4A Region I District 5 bout on Saturday, August 27. Big Spring will play a Lobos squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Idalou (Idalou, TX). The Lobos record now stands at 10-11.
