The Mt. Vernon Rams volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the visiting Chester Yellowjackets to 1 in the Rams non-league victory on Saturday.
The Rams now have a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Frankfort for a non-league game on Thursday, September 1. Mt. Vernon will meet a Redbirds team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over DuQuoin (DuQuoin, IL). The Redbirds record now stands at 3-4.
The Yellowjackets (2-4) will now prepare for their game against Carlyle (Carlyle, IL). The Indians enter the Cahokia (Illinois Division) game with a 3-0 record.
