The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Edcouch-Elsa Yellowjackets (Edcouch, TX) and the host Nixon Mustangs (Laredo, TX), saw Edcouch-Elsa's volleyball squad beat Nixon by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Edcouch-Elsa upgrades its record to 11-7 on the year. The Yellowjackets travel to United (Laredo, TX) to play the Longhorns in a non-league bout on Saturday, August 27. The Longhorns go into the bout with a record of 15-3.

The Mustangs now own a 7-8 record. They play next when they host St. Augustine for a non-league bout on Tuesday, August 30.
