The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Fieldcrest Knights (Minonk, IL) and the host St. Bede Bruins (Peru, IL), saw Fieldcrest's volleyball squad beat St. Bede by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Fieldcrest upgrades its record to 5-0 on the year. The Knights travel to Seneca (Seneca, IL) to play the Fighting Irish in a non-league bout on Saturday, August 27. The Fighting Irish go into the bout with a record of 3-0. Seneca won 2-0 in their recent league bout against Midland (Varna, IL)

The Bruins now own a 2-5 record. They play next when they travel to Plano for a non-league bout on Saturday, August 27. St. Bede will play a Reapers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Coal City (Coal City, IL). The Reapers record now stands at 1-1.
