New Jersey High School Football - Matawan Regional routed by Cedar Creek

The Matawan Regional Huskies football team (Aberdeen, NJ), was ripped 42-0 in Sunday's non-league challenge with the host Cedar Creek Pirates (Egg Harbor City, NJ)

The Pirates (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Absegami (Galloway, NJ). The Braves come into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Absegami trounced Lacey Township (Lanoka Harbor, NJ), 26-14, in a non-league challenge.

The Huskies now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rumson-Fair Haven for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 1. Matawan Regional will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 24-6 league win over Middletown South (Middletown, NJ). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-0.
