The Sandia Matadors felled the host West Mesa Mustangs football team by a score of 28-0 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Matadors face the Hope Christian Huskies (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, August 28. Sandia will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record.
The Mustangs (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Volcano Vista (Albuquerque, NM). The Hawks go into the non-league challenge with a 2-0 record. In their last challenge, Volcano Vista toppled La Cueva (Albuquerque, NM), 56-27, in a non-league challenge.
