The Cannon Cougars soccer squad scored 3 points and held the visiting Greater Cabarrus Stallions Stallions to 2 in the Cougars non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Cougars now possess a 4-4 record. They play next when they travel to Charlotte Latin for a NCISAA Charlotte bout on Thursday, August 29. Cannon will play a Hawks squad coming off a 5-1 league win over Covenant Day (Matthews, NC). The Hawks record now stands at 6-0.

With the loss, Greater Cabarrus Stallions moves to 4-2 on the year. The Stallions travel to Liberty Preparatory Christian (Mooresville, NC) to play the Patriots in a non-league bout on Thursday, August 29. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 3-0. Liberty Preparatory Christian won 6-1 in their recent non-league bout against Gospel Light Christian (Walkertown, NC)
