The Girard Yellowjackets soccer squad scored 9 points and held the host Conneaut Area Eagles to 0 in the Yellowjackets non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Yellowjackets now hold a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Sharpsville for a non-league bout on Thursday, September 5. Girard will play a Blue Devils squad coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Grove City (Grove City, PA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 2-1.
With the loss, Conneaut Area moves to 0-1 on the year. The Eagles travel to Slippery Rock (Slippery Rock, PA) to play the Rockets in a District 10 Region 2 bout on Tuesday, September 10. The Rockets go into the bout with a record of 1-2.
