Fans at Tuesday's non-league battle between the New Prague Trojans (New Prague, MN) and the visiting Mankato West Scarlets (Mankato, MN), saw New Prague's soccer squad hold off Mankato West by a count of 1-0.

The Trojans (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Century (Rochester, MN). The Panthers enter the Class AA Section 1 battle with a 1-2 record. In their last battle, Century tipped Farmington (Farmington, MN), 1-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Scarlets confront the Owatonna Huskies (Owatonna, MN) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, August 29. Mankato West will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Huskies enter the battle with a 0-2 record after their 1-0 league loss to Lakeville South (Lakeville, MN).
