The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Checotah Wildcats (Checotah, OK) and the visiting Okemah Panthers (Okemah, OK), observed Checotah's softball team prevail over Okemah by a tally of 13-5.

The Wildcats (12-4) will now prepare for their bout against Sallisaw (Sallisaw, OK). The Black Diamonds go into the 4A District 6 bout with a 1-6 record. In their last bout, Sallisaw was routed by Fort Gibson (Fort Gibson, OK), 7-3, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Panthers clash with the McLoud Redskins (McLoud, OK) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, August 29. Okemah will attempt to advance on its 5-8 season record.
