Kentucky High School Volleyball - Lafayette over Newport Central Catholic

The Lafayette Generals (Lexington, KY) volleyball were victorious over the host Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds (Newport, KY), 2-0 in Tuesday's non-league bout.

The Generals now possess a 6-0 record. They play next when they travel to Scott County for a non-league bout on Thursday, August 29. Lafayette will clash with a Cardinals team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Franklin County (Frankfort, KY). The Cardinals record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Newport Central Catholic drops to 3-2 on the campaign. The Thoroughbreds host Newport (Newport, KY) to clash with the Wildcats in a District 36 bout on Wednesday, August 28. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 0-3. Newport lost 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Trimble County (Bedford, KY)
