The Cougars (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Herndon (Herndon, VA). The Hornets come into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Herndon was beaten by South Lakes (Reston, VA), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Cavaliers meet the Mount Vernon Majors (Alexandria, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 2. Woodson will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Majors come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 3-0 league loss to Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology (Alexandria, VA).
