In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Proviso East Pirates (Maywood, IL) soccer team edged the host Glenbard South Raiders (Glen Ellyn, IL), by a count of 2-1.
Next, the Pirates face the Riverside-Brookfield Bulldogs (Riverside, IL) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, August 28. Proviso East will attempt to upgrade on its 1-0 season record.
The Raiders (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Providence Catholic (New Lenox, IL). The Celtics go into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Providence Catholic nudged Hinsdale South (Darien, IL), 7-4, in a non-league challenge.
