The Southeast Pirates soccer squad scored 5 points and held the visiting Champion Golden Flashes to 1 in the Pirates league victory on Wednesday.
The Pirates now hold a 5-0 record. They play next when they travel to Salem for a non-league bout on Saturday, August 30. Southeast will play a Quakers squad coming off a 7-0 non-league win over Newton Falls (Newton Falls, OH). The Quakers record now stands at 4-1.
With the loss, Champion moves to 3-2 on the year. The Golden flashes host Springfield (New Middletown, OH) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 2. The Tigers enter the game with a record of 4-0. Springfield won 9-0 in their recent non-league game against South Range (Canfield, OH)
