North Carolina High School Football - Ashley triumphant over Dixon

August 27, 2025: Holly Ridge, NC 28445

The crowd at Wednesday's non-league contest between the Ashley Screaming Eagle (Wilmington, NC) and the host Dixon Bulldogs (Holly Ridge, NC), witnessed Ashley's football squad wallop Dixon by a tally of 35-3.

The Screaming Eagle (2-0) will now prepare for their bout against Scotland (Laurinburg, NC). The Fighting Scots go into the non-league bout with a 0-1 record. In their last bout, Scotland was crushed by Richmond Senior (Rockingham, NC), 28-8, in a non-league bout.

The Bulldogs now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Hobbton for a non-league bout on Thursday, September 4. Dixon will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 22-16 non-league win over Triton (Erwin, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-0.
