The Independence Patriots edged the host Palisades Pumas soccer team by a tally of 1-0 in Wednesday's non-league game.
Next, the Patriots face the Rocky River Ravens (Mint Hill, NC) in a non-league game, on Thursday, September 4. Independence will attempt to advance on its 1-2 season record.
The Pumas (2-2) will now prepare for their game against Ashbrook (Gastonia, NC). The Greenwave enter the non-league game with a 1-1 record. In their last game, Ashbrook Berry (Charlotte, NC), 1-1, in a non-league challenge.
