The Kellenberg Memorial Firebirds edged the visiting Archbishop Molloy Stanners soccer team by a tally of 2-1 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.
The Firebirds now hold a 2-0 record. They play next when they host Holy Cross for a non-league challenge on Thursday, August 28.
With the loss, Archbishop Molloy moves to 0-1 on the year. The Stanners travel to St. Anthony's (Melville, NY) to encounter the Friars in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 9. The Friars go into the challenge with a record of 0-0.
