In Wednesday's league outing, the host Jim Thorpe Olympians soccer squad scored a tight 1-0 victory over the Catasauqua Rough Riders.

The Olympians (2-0) will now prepare for their outing against Notre Dame (East Stroudsburg, PA). The Spartans go into the non-league outing with a 0-1 record. In their last outing, Notre Dame was edged by Northern Lehigh (Slatington, PA), 9-0, in a non-league outing.

Next up, the Rough Riders confront the Wilson Area Warriors (Easton, PA) in a Colonial outing, on Saturday, August 30. Catasauqua will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Warriors go into the outing with a 2-2 record after their 4-0 league win over Saucon Valley (Hellertown, PA).
