With the triumph, Apalachee advances its record to 2-6 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Jackson County (Jefferson, GA) to battle the Panthers in a 5A Region 8 bout on Thursday, August 28. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 6-2. Jackson County lost 17-9 in their recent league bout against Loganville (Loganville, GA)

In their next game, the Lions battle the Brookwood Broncos (Snellville, GA) in a 6A Region 7 contest, on Thursday, August 28. Peachtree Ridge will attempt to improve on its 3-6 season record. The Broncos enter the contest with a 7-2 record after their 3-2 league win over North Gwinnett (Suwanee, GA).
