In Wednesday's non-league test, the Effingham County Rebels (Springfield, GA) softball squad overwhelmed the host Metter Tigers (Metter, GA), by a tally of 11-6.

Next, the Rebels meet the South Effingham Mustangs (Guyton, GA) in a non-league outing, on Wednesday, September 3. Effingham County will attempt to move on its 5-2 season record.

With the loss, Metter moves to 5-4 on the season. The Tigers travel to Screven County (Sylvania, GA) to encounter the Gamecocks in a 1A D-II Region 3 outing on Thursday, August 28. The Gamecocks go into the test with a record of 6-2. Screven County won 8-7 in their recent league test against Claxton (Claxton, GA)
