The Ola Mustangs softball team scored 8 runs and held the visiting McIntosh Chiefs to 1 in the Mustangs non-league win on Wednesday.

The Mustangs now possess a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hampton for a 4A Region 2 challenge on Thursday, August 28. Ola will meet a Hornets squad coming off a 16-0 league loss to Locust Grove (Locust Grove, GA). The Hornets record now stands at 2-5.

The Chiefs (4-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Lovejoy (Lovejoy, GA). The Wildcats enter the 5A Region 3 challenge with a 3-2 record. In their last challenge, Lovejoy edged Morrow (Morrow, GA), 22-11, in a league battle.
