Illinois High School Volleyball - Metro-East Lutheran can't hold off Alton

August 27, 2025: Edwardsville, IL 62025

In Wednesday's non-league match, the Alton Redbirds (Alton, IL) volleyball squad tipped the host Metro-East Lutheran Knights (Edwardsville, IL), by a count of 2-1.

Next up, the Redbirds battle the Edwardsville Tigers (Edwardsville, IL) in a Southwestern bout, on Tuesday, September 2. Alton will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record.

With the loss, Metro-East Lutheran drops to 0-3 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Lutheran (Springfield, IL) to clash with the Crusaders in a non-league bout on Saturday, August 30. The Crusaders come into the bout with a record of 1-0. Lutheran won 2-1 in their recent league bout against Mt. Olive (Mt. Olive, IL)
