    In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the host Central Academy of Technology & Arts Cougars volleyball squad scored a 3-0 win over the Olympic Trojans.

    Next up, the Cougars face the Anson Bearcats (Wadesboro, NC) in a Rocky River 4A/5A game, on Thursday, August 28. Central Academy of Technology & Arts will attempt to advance on its 4-4 season record. The Bearcats go into the game with a 5-1 record after their 3-1 non-league win over South Stanly (Norwood, NC).

    The Trojans (3-5) will now prepare for their game against Central Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Vikings come into the Greater Metro (GMAC) 6A/7A outing with a 0-4 record. In their last outing, Central Cabarrus lost by Hickory Ridge (Harrisburg, NC), 3-0, in a league outing.
