Virginia High School Volleyball - George C. Marshall edged by West Springfield

August 27, 2025: Falls Church, VA 22043

West Springfield Spartans (Springfield, VA) boosters left the game thrilled Wednesday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the host George C. Marshall Statesmen (Falls Church, VA), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Spartans (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Robinson (Fairfax, VA). The Rams come into the Patriot challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Robinson edged West Potomac (Alexandria, VA), 3-2, in a league challenge.

Next, the Statesmen meet the Ocean Lakes Dolphins (Virginia Beach, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, August 29. George C. Marshall will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Dolphins come into the challenge with a 2-0 record after their 3-1 league win over First Colonial (Virginia Beach, VA).
