In Wednesday's non-league match, the Mason County Royals (Maysville, KY) volleyball squad overcame the host Holmes Bulldogs (Covington, KY), by a count of 2-0.

Next up, the Royals battle the Bracken County Polar Bears (Brooksville, KY) in a District 39 match, on Thursday, August 28. Mason County will attempt to move on its 5-5 season record. The Polar Bears enter the match with a 3-1 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Calvary Christian (Covington, KY).

The Bulldogs (0-5) will now prepare for their bout against Holy Cross (Covington, KY). The Indians come into the District 35 bout with a 5-2 record.
