Midland Timberwolves (Varna, IL) backers were pleased Wednesday as they witnessed their volleyball team tip the visiting Leland Panthers (Leland, IL), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Timberwolves (1-0) will now prepare for their test against Galva (Galva, IL). The Wildcats go into the non-league test with a 0-1 record.

The Panthers now own a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Somonauk for a non-league test on Saturday, August 30. Leland will face a Bobcats squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Mooseheart (Mooseheart, IL). The Bobcats record now stands at 2-0.
