Piute Thunderbirds (Junction, UT) boosters left the game thrilled Wednesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Valley Buffalos (Orderville, UT), 3-1 in a league test.

With the win, Piute improves its record to 1-8 on the season. The Thunderbirds host Wayne (Bicknell, UT) to face the Badgers in a 1A Region 20 test on Wednesday, September 3. The Badgers go into the test with a record of 3-2. Wayne lost 3-1 in their recent non-league test against North Sevier (Salina, UT)

The Buffalos now own a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to El Capitan for a non-league test on Friday, August 29. Valley will meet a Eagles team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Water Canyon (Hildale, UT). The Eagles record now stands at 1-0.
