The Long County Blue Tide softball team scored 11 runs and limited the host Tattnall County Warriors to 7 in the Blue Tide non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Long County moves its record to 2-4 on the year. The Blue Tide host Toombs County (Lyons, GA) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league game on Wednesday, August 30. The Bulldogs come into the game with a record of 7-4. Toombs County won 7-1 in their recent league game against Brantley County (Nahunta, GA)

In their next game, the Warriors clash with the Pierce County Bears (Blackshear, GA) in a 2A Region 3 game, on Tuesday, August 29. Tattnall County will attempt to move on its 2-5 season record. The Bears come into the game with a 4-5 record after their 18-0 non-league loss to Jeff Davis (Hazlehurst, GA).
