The Westminster Wildcats triumphed over the host Lovett Lions softball squad by a count of 7-2 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Wildcats play the Centennial Knights (Roswell, GA) in a 4A Region 6 challenge, on Tuesday, September 3. Westminster will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Knights enter the challenge with a 5-10 record after their 12-0 league loss to Cambridge (Milton, GA).

The Lions (4-8) will now prepare for their challenge against KIPP Atlanta Collegiate (Atlanta, GA). The Warriors enter the 2A Region 5 challenge with a 2-6 record. In their last challenge, KIPP Atlanta Collegiate edged Riverdale (Riverdale, GA), 19-5, in a non-league challenge.
