Illinois High School Volleyball - Alton over Metro-East Lutheran

The Alton Redbirds volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the visiting Metro-East Lutheran Knights to 0 in the Redbirds non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Redbirds now have a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Belleville East for a Southwestern outing on Tuesday, September 3.

With the loss, Metro-East Lutheran drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Staunton (Staunton, IL) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league outing on Friday, August 30. The Bulldogs come into the outing with a record of 0-0.
