    Big Lake Hornets (Big Lake, MN) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team triumph over the host DeLaSalle Islanders (Minneapolis, MN), 76-22 in a non-league battle.

    With the win, Big Lake improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Hornets travel to Spectrum (Elk River, MN) to meet the Sting in a non-league match on Friday, September 5. The Sting come into the match with a record of 1-0. Spectrum won 16-12 in their recent non-league match against Fridley (Fridley, MN)

    Coming up next, the Islanders meet the Blake/Hope Academy/Minnehaha Academy/St. Paul Academy-Summit Wolfpack (Minneapolis, MN) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 5. DeLaSalle will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Wolfpack go into the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 21-14 non-league win over Winona (Winona, MN).
