Alabama High School Football - Dothan nudges Monroe

August 28, 2025: Dothan, AL 36303

The crowd at Thursday's non-league contest between the Dothan Wolves (Dothan, AL) and the visiting Monroe Golden Tornadoes (Albany, GA), witnessed Dothan's football squad edge Monroe by a count of 37-34.

The Wolves (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Enterprise (Enterprise, AL). The Wildcats enter the 7A Region 2 contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Enterprise got by Pike Road (Pike Road, AL), 24-17, in a non-league battle.

The Golden Tornadoes now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Northside for a non-league battle on Friday, September 5. Monroe will play a Patriots team coming off a 49-6 non-league loss to Northgate (Newnan, GA). The Patriots record now stands at 1-1.
