Michigan High School Football - South Lyon prevails Lakeland

August 28, 2025: White Lake, MI 48383

In Thursday's league challenge, the visiting South Lyon Lions football team scored a nice 42-14 win over the Lakeland Eagles.

In their next game, the Lions face the Kettering Captains (Waterford, MI) in a Lakes Valley test, on Friday, September 5. South Lyon will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Captains come into the test with a 0-1 record after their 46-29 league loss to Walled Lake Central (Walled Lake, MI).

With the defeat, Lakeland drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Walled Lake Northern (Commerce, MI) to meet the Knights in a Lakes Valley test on Friday, September 5. The Knights come into the test with a record of 0-1. Walled Lake Northern lost 45-0 in their recent league test against Mott (Waterford, MI)
