Michigan High School Football - Milford thwarted by Walled Lake Western

Walled Lake Western Warriors (Walled Lake, MI) fans were content Thursday as they observed their football squad thwart the host Milford Mavericks (Highland, MI), 51-26 in a league match.

The Warriors (1-0) will now prepare for their match against North Farmington (Farmington Hills, MI). The Raiders come into the non-league match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, North Farmington defeated Stevenson (Livonia, MI), 20-7, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Mavericks meet the Mott Corsairs (Waterford, MI) in a Lakes Valley match, on Friday, September 5. Milford will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Corsairs come into the match with a 1-0 record after their 45-0 league win over Walled Lake Northern (Commerce, MI).
