Michigan High School Football - Richard crushed by Montrose

The Montrose Rams overwhelmed the host Richard Pioneers football squad by a count of 36-0 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Rams now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Birch Run for a Mid-Michigan test on Friday, September 5. Montrose will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 49-8 non-league win over Carrollton (Carrollton, MI). The Panthers record now stands at 1-0.

With the defeat, Richard drops to 0-1 on the season. The Pioneers host Muskegon Catholic Central (Muskegon, MI) to face the Crusaders in a non-league challenge on Friday, September 5. The Crusaders go into the challenge with a record of 0-1. Muskegon Catholic Central lost 35-7 in their recent non-league challenge against New Lothrop (New Lothrop, MI)
