Georgia High School Football - Riverdale loses to Mt. Zion

Mt. Zion Bulldogs (Jonesboro, GA) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Riverdale Raiders (Riverdale, GA), 28-0 in a league battle.
With the win, Mt. Zion improves its record to 1-2 on the season. The Bulldogs host Stephenson (Stone Mountain, GA) to play the Jaguars in a AAA Region 5 battle on Friday, September 12. The Jaguars go into the battle with a record of 3-0.
The Raiders now hold a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Clayton for a AAA Region 5 match on Friday, September 5. Riverdale will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 28-22 non-league loss to West Laurens (Dexter, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 2-1.
