Nebraska High School Football - Sandhills Valley crushed by Mullen

Mullen Broncos (Mullen, NE) followers went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Sandhills Valley Mavericks (Stapleton, NE), 54-8 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Mullen upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Broncos travel to Maywood/Hayes Center (Maywood, NE) to confront the Wolves in a non-league match on Thursday, September 4. The Wolves come into the match with a record of 0-1. Maywood/Hayes Center lost 60-12 in their recent non-league match against Wilcox-Hildreth (Wilcox, NE)

Coming up next, the Mavericks confront the Perkins County Plainsmen (Grant, NE) in a non-league battle, on Friday, September 5. Sandhills Valley will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Plainsmen go into the battle with a 0-1 record after their 46-16 non-league loss to Dundy County-Stratton (Benkelman, NE).
