Michigan High School Football - Parchment nudged by Union City

In Thursday's non-league game, the Union City Chargers (Union City, MI) football squad tipped the host Parchment Panthers (Parchment, MI), by a margin of 16-14.

The Chargers now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Maple Valley for a Big 8 outing on Friday, September 5. Union City will clash with a Lions squad coming off a 34-6 non-league loss to Saranac (Saranac, MI). The Lions record now stands at 0-1.

With the defeat, Parchment falls to 0-1 on the year. The Panthers travel to Hopkins (Hopkins, MI) to battle the Vikings in a non-league contest on Friday, September 5. The Vikings enter the contest with a record of 1-0. Hopkins won 29-14 in their recent non-league contest against Fremont (Fremont, MI)
