The Spring Lake Park Panthers football team scored 34 points and restricted the host Two Rivers Warriors to 14 in the Panthers non-league win on Thursday.

In their next game, the Panthers face the Irondale Knights (New Brighton, MN) in a Northstar - West Maroon challenge, on Friday, September 5. Spring Lake Park will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Knights go into the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 26-19 league win over Park Center (Brooklyn Park, MN).

With the defeat, Two Rivers drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Simley (Inver Grove Heights, MN) to meet the Spartans in a non-league test on Friday, September 5. The Spartans come into the test with a record of 0-2. Simley lost 45-7 in their recent non-league challenge against North Community (Minneapolis, MN)
