California High School Flag Football - Helix nips Clairemont

August 28, 2025: La Mesa, CA 91941

The crowd at Thursday's non-league contest between the Helix Highlanders (La Mesa, CA) and the visiting Clairemont Chieftains (San Diego, CA), witnessed Helix's flag football squad edge Clairemont by a tally of 19-12.

The Highlanders (3-1) will now prepare for their contest against Brawley (Brawley, CA). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 2-6 record. In their last contest, Brawley was nudged by Imperial (Imperial, CA), 21-12, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Chieftains battle the Morse Tigers (San Diego, CA) in a City - City contest, on Tuesday, September 2. Clairemont will attempt to better on its 3-2 season record. The Tigers enter the bout with a 3-3 record after their 12-6 non-league loss to Central (El Centro, CA).
