Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the Great Valley Patriots (Malvern, PA) and the visiting Marple Newtown Fightin' Tigers (Newtown Square, PA), saw Great Valley's soccer squad knock off Marple Newtown by a count of 2-0.

The Patriots (1-2) will now prepare for their battle against Upper Merion Area (King of Prussia, PA). The Vikings enter the non-league battle with a 0-4 record. In their last battle, Upper Merion Area by Upper Moreland (Willow Grove, PA), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Fightin' Tigers battle the Lower Merion Aces (Ardmore, PA) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, September 2. Marple Newtown will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record.
