The Salem Quakers soccer team scored 7 points and limited the visiting Newton Falls Tigers to 0 in the Quakers non-league triumph on Thursday.
Next, the Quakers face the Southeast Pirates (Ravenna, OH) in a non-league game, on Saturday, August 30. Salem will attempt to advance on its 4-1 season record. The Pirates come into the game with a 5-0 record after their 5-1 league win over Champion (Warren, OH).
The Tigers (0-6) will now prepare for their game against Grand Valley (Orwell, OH). The Mustangs come into the non-league game with a 0-4 record. In their last game, Grand Valley was overwhelmed by Edgewood (Ashtabula, OH), 5-2, in a non-league bout.
